The Band Steele Performs at Ft. Bragg

I had the opportunity to meet The Band Steele and talk with them during their visit to Fort Bragg, North Carolina. Bo Steele and Ben Rubino are the duo that is taking country music by storm.

The southern rock band stopped by Sports USA to perform their current single, "Sit Awhile" a tribute to U.S. military service members and their families. As an Army Veteran myself, I was taken back by the song as I photographed their performance.
Steele's powerful voice, paired with Rubino's soothing harmonies tell the story of the band's upbringing in the south.

"Sit Awhile" was originally written about Bo’s step-father. When it came time to make the music video, which currently has more than 800,000 views, Bo says “We saw an opportunity to be able to show our appreciation to members of the military for what we’re able to do because of them.” He adds, “It’s amazing how these guys (veterans) come up to us and tell us how our song is getting them through their day and helps them with PTSD.” Bo and Ben say it is very rewarding to see that one of their original songs are helping people. “It’s humbling and it’s a blessing.”

The duo spent three days performing all over Fort Bragg. One of my favorite songs they performed is"Tan Lines."

I am a small town country girl who loves great music. I had such a fun time meeting Bo and Ben. I hope to have another opportunity to see The Band Steele perform live again soon.

Check out more information below and get your copy of their music they have available on all platforms. You will be so glad to have these in your collection!

Granger Smith with Special Guest Drew Baldridge at Kansas City Live!

If you ever get the opportunity to visit Kansas City, Missouri, you can now experience a new Downtown Kansas City with the Kansas City Power & Light District.

Kansas City Live! is an entire city block with two levels of world-class restaurants, taverns and night spots. Kansas City Live! also features a full-concert stage where the country’s most premiere musicians and bands perform weekly during the summer and for special events throughout the year.

During my travels from Fort Bragg, North Carolina to the Midwest, I was excited to learn Granger Smith with Special Guest Drew Baldridge was scheduled to perform in my home state of Missouri August 9th, 2018.

Kansas City Power & Light District was very accommodating to allow me media access to capture this event.  I also received VIP passes that allowed my husband who is currently serving in the Army at Fort Bragg, North Carolina and who will deploy soon to accompany me and see what I do.  The access really made this experience AMAZING!

The evening started with meeting Granger Smith before the concert. It's not very often as a photographer I get the full VIP experience. Once again, KC Power & Light District made that possible.

Show Time... Special Guest Drew Baldridge took the stage to kick off the night.

Fans at this show heard songs from his first album, as well as a sampling of new tunes from his upcoming album - such as his newest single, “Gentle Man.”

Country fans were introduced to Baldridge by his energetic first single, "Dance With Ya."

Now they're getting a feel for his more serious side with "Rebound," both featured on Dirt on Us.

"When people leave a show, they don't remember the last dance move you've done, they don't remember the last chord you hit, but they remember how they felt in that moment. When people leave my shows, I want them to remember how they felt, and I want them to feel inspired," said Drew Baldridge.

As Baldridge finished his performance, the lights turned down low.

Fans in the VIP Terrance had an awesome view of the stage.

Just as fans were waiting in anticipation, Granger Smith walked out on stage.

The crowd filled with excitement.

The energy was powerful as fans got closer to the stage.

"I do what I love and love what I do, and there’s no sweeter freedom than that," said Smith.

Granger Smith with Special Guest Drew Baldridge put on an outstanding performance. I had such an amazing time.

I have to say KC Power & Light District is Kansas City's favorite gathering place. Whatever your mood, whatever your age, there is always something fun happening here! I definitely will come back next time I am in the area.

Trace Adkins Performs At Fort Bragg, NC

Fort Bragg's 4th of July Celebration included a performance by Grammy Award winning artist Trace Adkins. Before taking the stage he took time to meet the 82nd Abn. Div. rock band Riser Burn.

After taking a group photo with the band Adkins met with a few other fans who won Meet & Greet passes before the show.

After the Meet and Greet it was show time!

The crowd cheered with excitement when Trace Adkins walked out on stage to open the show with his song, Dangerous Man.

Followed by Songs About Me.

When Trace Adkins sings One Hot Mama and points to you, the world stands still for a moment.💖

He continued to rock the stage with his band.

The crowd was singing along with every song.

By the end of the night the crowd wanted more.

He brought a smile to veterans and families faces that night at Fort Bragg. Making it a memorable 4th of July.

I was very honored to not only meet Trace Adkins but also capture his performance on stage. This was a BIG night for me. One I had work hard to achieve. To have it all happen on the 4th of July made it a day to celebrate.

Walker McGuire 4th of July Performance

Walker McGuire performed at Fort Bragg's 4th of July Celebration. Before the duo walked on stage they took time to meet some of their fans who came out to see them perform.

The crowd was ready to hear Walker McGuire perform and kick off the night.

They definitely got the crowd excited and singing along.

Nothing is more powerful then celebrating the country's freedom with the men and women who defend it.

It was an honor for me to not only meet the duo but photograph their performance as well. It was a BIG night for me! I could not have been more EXCITED for this opportunity.
I love my job!
